Hi, I’m Nina Hearn.

My journey into nutritional therapy began when my daughter was a toddler and started reacting to certain foods after beginning solid foods, which was followed by ongoing eczema flare-ups. This led to multiple appointments with a range of healthcare professionals, alongside exploring different ways to support her health. It was during this time that we were introduced to nutritional therapy, which opened my eyes to how much food can influence the body..

Wanting to better understand how the body works and how nutrition can support it, I decided to study Nutritional Therapy. As my daughter grew, her needs continued to change, deepening my understanding of how different systems in the body interact - from digestion and immunity to hormones and lifestyle.

Over time, I began to notice patterns emerging and to look more closely at the possible underlying factors contributing to symptoms, both through my studies and personal experience. This understanding extended beyond one situation, and I began to see how nutrition could support the whole family - including myself. It became clear that targeted, well-informed changes can make a noticeable difference over time.

My approach to health

My focus is on supporting the body as a whole, using nutrition and practical lifestyle changes, that help you make more informed, realistic changes that feel manageable in everyday life.

I also take a collaborative approach - working alongside other healthcare professionals and recognising that different types of support can play a role in your overall wellbeing. Supplements and/or testing may be considered when needed, but the focus is always on building strong foundations first.

Health isn’t just about one symptom or one area of the body - it’s about how everything works together. Many of us haven’t been taught how to recognise what our body is telling us, but when you begin to understand how different aspects of your health interacts, those signals start to make more sense.

Looking at underlying patterns

Rather than focusing on one symptom in isolation, I look at the bigger picture - considering how different aspects of your health may be connected. This can include digestion, hormones, energy, lifestyle and daily habits, helping to identify patterns that may be contributing to how you feel.

Supporting the foundations

Sleep, stress, movement, routine and nourishment all play an important role in overall wellbeing. My approach focuses on realistic, sustainable changes that support your body in everyday life, rather than relying on quick fixes or extremes.

My approach to food

I see real, whole food as something to be enjoyed - full of flavour, texture and a wide range of nutrients that support how the body functions day to day. Food plays an important role in fuelling the body, from supporting energy and mood, to helping you focus, recover and manage the demands of everyday life. At the same time, no two people respond to food in exactly the same way. What works well for one person may not suit another, and even for the same person, needs can change over time.

Nourishment, not restriction

Food should support your body and your lifestyle, not feel overwhelming or add unnecessary pressure. Rather than focusing on strict rules or perfection, I aim to help you build realistic habits and a more balanced relationship with food over time.

Food is more than nutrients

Food is also about enjoyment, routine and connection. For some, that might be sharing meals with others; for others, it’s about creating simple, supportive routines in everyday life. From quick lunches to more considered meals, food should feel practical, nourishing and enjoyable.

What its like to work with me

Everyone’s starting point is different. Some people are ready to make changes quickly, while others need a more gradual approach — and that’s completely fine. My role is to meet you where you are and help you move forward in a way that feels realistic and manageable.

This isn’t about perfection or changing everything overnight. We focus on practical, sustainable changes that fit into your day-to-day life, helping you feel more confident in the choices you’re making and more in control of your health over time.

Supportive, not overwhelming

I aim to create an environment where you feel listened to, understood and supported throughout the process. Change can take time, which is why we focus on building habits and manageable changes that work for you.

No one-size-fits-all plans

No two people - or plans - are the same. We begin with a detailed understanding of your health history, lifestyle, symptoms and goals, allowing recommendations to be tailored to you as an individual and adapted over time as needed.
